GIAC software is now available for the Porsche Cayenne S DFI

Date: 01/13/2010

GIAC software is now available for the Porsche Cayenne S DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) platform. This programming offers dramatic improvements over the standard factory programming:

  • Improved crank horsepower and torque gains of 27-32 hp/43-48 ft lbs of torque. Wheel horsepower figures are supplied on the supplemental dyno plot. Crank gains are estimated from OEM power figures at 385 hp/369 ft/lbs of torque.
  • Improved drivability, with power and torque gains across the entire rev range. Some areas gain as much are 40 ft lbs of torque at the wheels.
  • Improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel.
  • Increased torque limits to accommodate additional hardware modifications.
  • Stock mode and a handheld switcher are included with purchase. Additional switching modes (Anti-theft, Valet) may be available for purchase in the coming months.

Dynamometer test results from the GIAC MD-500 Mustang dyno are included here. The graph plots two runs (wheel HP and TQ) for a 2009 Porsche Cayenne S DFI on 91-octane fuel. The first run is with GIAC programming. The second run is the baseline run with stock ECU programming. All runs are performed with the factory exhaust and intake systems in place.

MSRP for the GIAC software including the Flashloader handheld switcher with stock mode is $1500. This GIAC software can be installed by any GIAC authorized dealer. Customers are advised to call ahead to ensure that their local dealer is ready to flash this specific application.
